What?
My Cosmo Closet is an app that filters celebrity and Cosmopolitan Magazine editor outfits by name or occasion, simplifying outfit choices.

Process
Survey Responses (48 responses)
Problem Statement:
Simplifying the process of selecting outfits for various events.
For an indecisive & last-minute person, choosing outfits is a stressful situation and this app is meant to streamline the process.
Understanding the Target User
To find out what challenges our target audience face while deciding their outfit, I created a survey and shared it within the organisation.
Most of survey respondents were women between the ages 16-22 and they needed help deciding outfits according to occasions.

To give relevant fashion advise, our app wanted to give fast, convenient & affordable options. Our app would have:
Access to our celebrity’s original and dupe pieces
Consolidated occasion outfits
Engaging content to embody Cosmopolitan’s values: Fun, Sexy and Social
Competitor Analysis:
All three of these offer outfit options, but none give it in one page according to an event or celebrity
Why does this app stand out?
Social:
Advice and engaging comment section; celebrity and influencer partnerships
Personalized:
Outfits are specific to occasions chosen by the user
Shoppable:
Provides access to affordable items and saves time in finding a similar items
The Prototype
I designed the high-fidelity prototype using Figma. I wanted users to have an seamless and intuitive experience that gives them access to their ideal outfit they wanted.
Holistic Experience: Taking charge of the full design process offered a comprehensive understanding of how each stage impacts the final product, deepening my design expertise.
Data-Informed Decisions: Leveraging detailed research throughout the project streamlined the design process and provided clear direction during decision-making.
Team Collaboration: Collaborating with my intern group allowed us to combine our diverse skills and perspectives, leading to a more well-rounded and effective design that met both user needs and technical requirements.
